Security Policy Settings
Each security setting can be enabled or disabled. Some settings include an Additional Options field. If you enable such a setting, the Additional Options field becomes a required field.
The following illustration shows settings for the Standard Policy:
The settings include:

Admin Password - Checks if the admin password has been changed from the machine default.

Admin Password Rules - Checks if the password rules setting has been enabled in the MFP. This setting requires passwords to meet length and complexity requirements.

Auto Document Deletion - Checks that the period specified for document auto-deletion meets a user-defined threshold. Use the Frequency drop-down to specify the frequency by which to check the security setting for compliance.

Encrypted PDF Deletion - Checks that the period specified for encrypted PDF auto-deletion meets a user-defined threshold. Use the Frequency drop-down to specify the frequency by which to check the security setting for compliance.

HDD Encryption - Checks if the installed hard drive has been encrypted.

ID + Print Deletion - Checks that the period specified for auto-deletion of secure print data meets a user-defined threshold. Use the Frequency drop-down to specify the frequency by which to check the security setting for compliance.

Public Authentication - Checks if the public user requires a login. Click on the Mode drop-down. The following options are available:

Restricted - Restricts public users from logging in to the machine. To log in, users must have personal account.

On with login - Activates the Public User shared account, enabling public users to log in with the public user password.

On without login - Activates the Public User shared account, enabling public users to log in without the public user password.

Secure Document Deletion - Checks that the period specified for auto-deletion of secure documents meets a user-defined threshold. Use the Frequency drop-down to specify the frequency by which to check the security setting for compliance.

Temporary Data Overwrite - Overwrites stored temporary data after it expires, in addition to deleting it, providing more security.

User Authentication - Checks if user authentication is enabled on the machine.

SSD Encryption - Checks if the installed solid state drive has been encrypted.

HDD Lock Password - Requires a password to access the device’s hard drive.

SSL 3.0 Enabled - Checks if SSL has been enabled on the machine (available only on IT5 machines).

Use the Frequency drop-down list in the Additional Options column to specify the frequency by which to check the security setting for compliance. The following options are available:
