Licensing Requirements

Use of Shield Guard requires the following items, available from the MarketPlace. Acquisition of each item requires a MarketPlace account.

  1. A Shield Guard Service demo license.

  2. One or more free Shield Guard Agent licenses.

Note: Prior to acquiring and installing the Shield Guard Agent on an MFP, acquire the Shield Guard Service demo license from the MarketPlace. Shield Guard will not recognize any agents installed prior to the purchase and activation of a Shield Guard Service license.

Acquiring a License

To acquire a Shield Guard Service demo license, you must receive an e-mail invitation from an authorized SEC representative. Contact SEC for more information.

Once you receive the e-mail invitation, follow the instructions in the e-mail to activate your demo license and create your account. This process links your Shield Guard Service demo license to your MarketPlace account. Then, once you successfully sign in to the Shield Guard Portal, you can begin configuring your devices and policies.
